ROCHELLE—In its fourth year of operation, Rochelle Summer Lunch Program is gearing up for another successful season of helping children ward off hunger throughout Rochelle. Residents interested in volunteering with the program may hear more about the summer-long event on Friday, April 26, at Rochelle United Methodist Church in Hicks Hall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In order to run efficiently, this program is in need of helping hands and kind hearts to feed students when school is out of session.

According to event coordinator Jack Burr, the program utilized up to 150 volunteers last year alone and will need similar numbers again this year.
