ROCHELLE—After months of rehearsals, Rochelle Township High School students will perform “A Thurber Musical” this weekend on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. and then again on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m.

Students will perform the Tony Award winning comedy in the high school auditorium. Tickets for the event will $5 for adults and $2 for students.

Play director, Amy Creuziger, said that the play will be stunning to the senses as it will contain entertainment for audience goers’ ears and eyes. She said that students assembled as early as summer to compose music for the performance. Students Robby MacPartland and David Lopez, were among some of the musically talented youths to start the process early.

“Robby and David wrote the music for it, which is fantastic. They enjoy jazz so it’s pretty jazzy but also has elements of country and rumba in the score,” said Creuziger.
