Police make drug arrest

ROCHELLE — A Rochelle man is behind bars on drug charges following a search warrant conducted Wednesday.

Rochelle Police Officers and Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies executed the warrant at 1043 Avenue E Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of Vidal Mancilla, 20, of Rochelle.

Officers reported they collected approximately 55 grams of cocaine, digital scales and drug packaging material during the search.

Mancilla is being charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine), a Class X Felony; possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a Class 1 Felony; and a warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation as Mancilla was on parole at the time of the search warrant.
