ROCHELLE — A little change can be good and that is exactly the thinking as the Rochelle News-Leader editorial staff rolls out a new design and layout of the tri-weekly publication.
News-Leader publisher John Shank said the new look isn’t a “major overhaul” of the paper, but more an enhanced version to improve the current model and give readers an appealing, better organized product.
“In addition to contemporizing the front page, readers will also notice that we have reorganized some of the regular news pages inside the paper to provide an easier to follow unified format and to also maximize our color options,” Shank explained.
Shank said that page 2 of the News-Leader will now be opened up to accommodate large color advertisements, while the obituaries and police news will move further inside.
