Rochelle Middle School students have been busy preparing for the science fair that was held this weekend.
The RMS science fair was held Saturday morning in conjunction with the Crawford Foundation Pancake Breakfast, the art and academic show and music festival.
Students from sixth through eighth grade were to create a science experiment based on a field that interests them.
“The purpose is for students to discover something they are not familiar with but interested in,” eighth grade science teacher Michelle Jaeger said. “Students can do a multitude of projects. They can choose anything from designing some type of prototype all they way through seeing how one thing reacts with another. A lot of them choose stuff that has to do with consumer science, see which product is the best.”
