Crusaders finish third at St. Johns Invitational

ELGIN — The St. Paul Crusaders varsity boy’s basketball team finished third at the 49th Annual St. Johns Invitational Basketball Tournament in Elgin.

The Crusaders picked up a first-round victory beating St. Peter Lutheran of Schaumburg, 56-40. 

With a 12-5 first quarter lead, St. Paul took control of the game going up by 20 points in the fourth quarter. 

Jeffrey Warner led the Crusaders with 18 points. Wyatt Doubler had 12 points, Kyle Seebach had 10 points, Daniel McAnly had eight points and Kyle Eyster scored four points. Brady Shank and Noah Knight also had two points each.
