ROCHELLE — In an effort to close its budget deficit, the United States Postal Service is making changes to cut operation costs, including eliminating Saturday home delivery.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Postal Service announced that Saturday mail delivery will be eliminated starting the week of Aug. 5. Home addresses will have mail delivered Monday through Friday, citing that cutting back one day of home delivery will save the Postal Service about $2 billion annually.
