Lady Colts stand alone atop Meridian Conference at 6-0

CRESTON — The Creston Lady Colts’ varsity basketball team remains alone at the top of the standings at 6-0 in the Meridian Conference after a pair of lopsided wins this week.

Abby and Ashley Kerns each scored 12 points Tuesday night, as Creston shut down the Kings 40-6. The Lady Colts jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

On Thursday night, in a battle against the top teams in the Meridian Conference, Creston sprinted to a 29-6 halftime lead at St. Paul, and then cruised on to a 48-22 victory. 

Abby Kerns led the way with 21 points while Alexis Crawford added eight and Ashley Kerns seven.
