STREATOR — Everyone got into the action and saw a lot of minutes in the varsity girls’ 58-28 victory over Streator on Saturday, as Rochelle picked up their fifth win in a row and their 17th victory of the season.
“It was a good game for us in a lot of ways,” Rochelle head coach Kay Dobbs said Saturday evening after the game. “We kept our turnovers down and got to work on a lot of different things, especially defensively.”
Rochelle took control of the game from the opening tip off, jumping out to a 15-2 lead after only one quarter of play.
Halfway into the second quarter, Rochelle had doubled its points, extending its lead to 31-12 with just over 4:00 in the first half and Dobbs already pulling her starters and giving her hard-working reserves some well-deserved playing time.
