Pair die in car crash

STILLMAN VALLEY — Two rural Stillman Valley residents died in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on IL Route 72.

Although police have not yet determined if weather was a factor in the fatal collision, the area was experiencing icy and sleeting rain during the time of the incident.

According to Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn, the accident occured at approximately 2:40 p.m. on IL Route 72 near the intersection of Rockwell Road near Stillman Valley.
