Bratko, Mickley bowl well at conference

DEKALB — The Lady Hubs battled hard, but the pins just weren’t falling in favor of Rochelle on Monday at the NIB-12 Conference Varsity Girls Bowling Tournament at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb.

Briana Mickley and Megan Bratko led Rochelle throughout the tourney. Bratko led the Lady Hubs individually with 222 pins in game one, helping her to a series score of 1,041 pins— the best Rochelle performance of the day. Mickley also had a good day, rolling a series score of 1,013.

The Lady Hubs will have a week to regroup before they will face off against Belvidere in a sectional warm up meet on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at T-Byrd Lanes in Rochelle. Game one is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

The Lady Hubs sectional is scheduled for early February.
