Rochelle — As our water meters age over time they must be replaced every 10 to 12 years. Rochelle Municipal Utilities is taking proactive measures to maintain and improve our utility infrastructure, and the meters are now being replaced with more reliable meters. If your water meter needs to be replaced, you will receive a written notice from RMU to schedule an appointment. The homeowner must be present to allow Operators access to exchange your water meter. An added benefit of the new meters is improved reading efficiency.
