MORRIS — On Saturday, the Lady Hubs started the Morris invitational strong in the first series but dropped in the rankings after the second, finishing 11th overall out of 13 teams.
“I felt really good about the way the girls bowled,” Rochelle head coach Joey Johanning said. “I saw the intensity and the teamwork coach (Heath) Mickley and I have been talking to the girls about all season.”
McKayla Smith led the way for Rochelle in both individual scoring and series scoring. Her individual high came in game two of her first series with 230 pins. Marina Eraas was a close second in game two with 224 pins. Smith also led the Lady Hubs in series scoring. Her first series was her highest with 581 pins, but 422 pins in her second series kept her leading Rochelle with 1,033 pins on the day.For the complete article see the 01-17-2013 issue.
