GENOA — Genoa’s Quilt & Fiber Arts Walk returns for the fifth year Jan. 19-27. Downtown will be filled with quilts, knitting, embroidery, baskets, sewing and more. Demonstrations, entertainment, speakers and contests round out the weeklong event.
“The Quilt & Fiber Arts Walk is a free event that gives visitors a unique opportunity to share everything their love of needle and fiber arts,” says Mim Evans, executive director of Genoa Main Street, Inc. which organizes the event each year. “Unlike a traditional quilt show, we have a much greater variety of items and visitors move along Main Street to view the displays in windows and businesses. Combined with the demonstrations and special activities, a visit is easily a full day or more.”
