Creston ice rink a winter triumph

CRESTON — Due to record high winter temperatures last year, the creative idea for an ice rink in Creston failed to launch. Thankfully for residents this year, winter’s freezing temperatures cooperated and now Creston children have one more reason to get outside and have fun during frigid months.

The rink is located at the south end of Main Street next to Booster Park and covers where tennis courts used to be.

“We were excited to try it, but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with us, so it ended up being a big puddle last year,” said park board president Larry Wing.
