BREMERTON, Wash. — Robert Kucenski, son of Rev. William and Doris Kucenski of Rochelle, passed away Jan. 2, 2013, in Bremerton, Wash., at the age of 61.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean (Saunders) Kucenski, of Bremerton; two daughters, Jennifer Smith, of Baltimore, Md., and Stephanie (Alec) Edwards, stationed in South Carolina with the U.S. Army; his parents; seven sister and brothers, Daniel (Susan) Kucenski, Mesa, Ariz., Michael (Diane) Kucenski, Mission Hills, Calif., William (Susan) Kucenski, Knoxville, Tenn., Sharon (Steve) Watkins, Aurora, Jeanne (Robert) Krunwiede, Aurora, and James Kucenski, Rochelle.
He also leaves seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, aunts, an uncle, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Stephen, and grandson Alec Edwards, Jr.
Robert made the Navy his career, was a Chief Petty Officer, and was in charge of his ship’s computers. He made tours of duty all around the world and was in the Persian Gulf during that conflict. He served abroad the U.S.S. Okinawa, the U.S.S. Ingersoll, and finally the U.S.S. Carl Vinson, where he was piped off in Alameda, Calif., in the year 1993.
We commit his soul to the care of Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
