OREGON — Following the ceremony to swear in new Circuit Court Judge John “Ben” Roe Monday morning, Ogle County Board Chairman Kim Gouker appointed Mike Rock as interim Ogle County State’s Attorney.
Rock, who is current assistant state’s attorney, was sworn in by Judge Robert Hanson. Rock has been Roe’s 1st Assistant State’s Attorney since December 2010, a position he also held from 1994-2000 under then State’s Attorney Doug Floski. In between his time in the State’s Attorney’s office Rock was in private practice for nearly 11 years in criminal defense in Rockford.
