ROCHELLE — The Flagg Township Historical Society is having a story-writing contest to show future generations a personal picture of what was happening in Rochelle.
The contest is open to any age and is free to enter. The personal story needs to have taken place in Flagg Township, but the person does not need to live in the area.
The author of the winning story will win $100, second place $50 and third $25.
The personal stories will be judged by a member of the historical society, an English teacher, and a third judge. Judges will be looking for colorful details that add depth to the story and help tell the story in a more colorful way.
