ROCHELLE —Several local candidates interested in running on the April 9 Consolidated Election ballot filed petitions last week, securing a spot on the ballot. However, the majority of the races will not be contested, and some races don’t even have a full slate at this point.
Local races include village and township boards along with school, park and library districts.
