OREGON — According to official findings from the Ogle County Sheriff’s office, two women involved in a fatal car accident on Pines Road in Oregon were both on cell phones near the time when the accident occurred.
On Nov. 22 at approximately 9:44 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Pines Road, approximately one and a half miles west of Oregon.
A Honda Civic driven by Leslie A. Wallace, 28, of Oregon, was traveling eastbound on Pines Road when her vehicle struck a Dodge Neon driven by Christina L. Nave, 31, of Mount Morris, traveling westbound.
