ROCHELLE — Tennis courts were once again the main topic of discussion for Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District officials, who are trying to determine a course of action to either repair several of the current court surfaces, build new courts or both.

After several months of looking into the issue, park director Eric Christensen recommended to the board on Monday night that three brand new courts be built across the street from the current courts on the Helms South property just south of the large parking lot.

Christensen said the cost of the courts, including all fencing and features, would run approximately $40,000 each or a total of $120,000. He added those costs would not include lighting.
