MALTA—The possibility of a new student center at Kishwaukee Community College was a mere idea two years ago and has blossomed to a structure of grandeur today, with its attractive glass foyer, bookstore, courtyard, student activity room, cafeteria, student lounge and more.

On Thursday, Dec. 6, an opening program and ribbon cutting ceremony took place to officially recognize the wing as a new addition to Kishwaukee College. Government President, Michael Cirino, as well as trustee, Robert Walker, commented on the new addition from a student perspective.

“I love it,” said Walker.

“It’s great, I think it’s a catalyst for green energy on campus,” said Cirino.
