Kirk named to All-NAC first team as sophomore

ROCKFORD — Many have played football longer, but few have accomplished what Rochelle Township High School graduate Dane Kirk has on the gridiron.

“Dane is an incredible person, and he has got a tremendous future ahead of him as an athlete,” Rockford College head football coach Vic Wallace said. “It is very uncommon for a sophomore to receive the kind of recognition that he has, but I can say without any doubt that he deserves it.”

Rockford College has not had the most reputable football program as of late, but with a new head coach, the Regents made a clear move in the right direction winning two games and snapping its 23-game losing streak.
