ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School boys varsity basketball team had plenty of open looks Friday night when the Hubs hosted Sycamore, but it just couldn’t knock enough of them down to pull out a victory, falling to the Spartans 60-42.

“It was a struggle tonight,” Rochelle head coach Tim Thomspon said after the game, “but I am always pleased with the kids’ effort. We definitely gave it our best shot.”

The Hubs struggled offensively only shooting 22.4 percent from the field and hitting only five of the 32 shots taken in the first half. The second half wasn’t much better for Rochelle as the Hubs connected on only eight of 26 shots from the field.
