Eighth graders win two in a row

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Middle School eighth grade A-Team won a 29-28 nail-biter last Tuesday in front of a home crowd against Stillman Valley.

Landon Griffith led the Royals with 13 points, including two from behind the arc. Griffith has consistently led the Hubs in scoring this season, usually hitting at least one from three-point territory including one last Tuesday with 1.1 seconds left in the first quarter.

Kaywan Palmer contributed to the victory with nine points while Dante Contreras added four points, Jake Wyatt added two and Riley Williams scored one.
