ROCHELLE — Right after volunteers at the Rochelle Fireman’s Social Hall fired up the grill at 4:30 p.m. last night, a line of cars snaked around the building as customers awaited their freshly-cooked pork chop dinners.
On Wednesday night, the Rochelle Fire Department Pork Chop Dinner, in which volunteers from the fire department as well as Kiwanis Golden K and the Community Action Network cooked, assembled and served dinners to raise funds for CAN’s children’s annual shopping trip. The event is set for Dec. 10.
