ROCHELLE—More than 150 children and their guardians gathered on Nov. 15 at the Rochelle Middle School for the “Family Reading Night.”

The event, sponsored annually by Secretary of State and State Librarian, Jesse White, was a co-operative project between the Rochelle Elementary School libraries and the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library.

Volunteer readers, including elementary teachers and librarians, read stories from around the world to children of all ages, as the theme was “One world, many stories.” This reading night was hosted throughout the state and served to encourage families to spend time together.
