ROCHELLE — Following a call to 9-1-1 dispatchers Sunday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m., the Rochelle Police, Ogle County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police responded to the May Mart commons for a fight in progress.
According to Rochelle Police Chief Eric Higby, the call originally came in as a large fight in progress.
“State and county assisted our officers on the call as it came in as a large fight [in progress] so we called for assistance right away,” Higby said.
