Lady Hubs defeat Stockton in Thanksgiving tourney

FORRESTON — The Rochelle Township High School Lady Hubs traveled to Forreston on Friday for the first round of the Thanksgiving Tournament, and walked away victorious with a win over the Stockton Lady Blackhawks, 56-44.

Rochelle, now 2-0 on the new season, got off to a slow start and ended the first quarter trailing Stockton 15-12, but that was the last time the Lady Blackhawks held a lead all game.

Up by three to start the second half, the Lady Hubs outscored Stockton by six points and took a 26-23 lead at the half.
