ROCHELLE — An early morning barn fire Friday has left one local pig farmer without a facility for his animals.
On Friday at 5:56 a.m., Rochelle Fire Department received the call for a barn fire at 1957 S. Mulford Road. The hog farm facility is owned and operated by Huftalin Farms of Malta.
According to Rochelle Fire Chief Brian Johnson the preliminary cause of the fire is a suspected heater malfunction.
