ROCHELLE — Rochelle Consolidated Community School District #231 is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $435,669 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program Grant.
This program grant is awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education for the 2012-2013 school year. This is a five year grant and funding is available at similar amounts for each year for a total of over $2.1 million.
The grant is entitled “Helping Us Build (HUB) a Smarter, Stronger, and Healthier Community.” “The HUB Project,” in conjunction with the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District and 33 community partners, will allow for a comprehensive, innovative, developmental, research based extensive extended learning program for students and families.
