ROCHELLE—People with limited mobility now have the freedom to enjoy updated attractions on the Flagg-Rochelle Township Museum’s second floor, as the museum has a new chairlift that starts at the base of the first floor and goes up to the second.

“This building has been here since 1884 and has old, steep stairs. We had the chairlift installed a few weeks ago. Before, tour groups would call and ask if we had a chairlift and we would have to tell them ‘no,’” said museum director, Rebecca Weinstock. “The museum has been wanting to do this for a while.”
