OGLE COUNTY — Ogle County State’s Attorney John B. “Ben” Roe will be seeing a new view of Ogle County courtrooms as he takes over for retiring judge Michael Mallon.
Judge Mallon is retiring on Dec. 4, leaving the last two years of his six-year term open. Roe will be sworn in as judge and begin his new position Jan. 7, 2013.
The Illinois Supreme Court met on Nov. 8 to appoint Roe to fill Mallon’s vacancy. According to the order, Roe will reside as Resident Circuit Judge of Ogle County, 15th Judicial Circuit, until Dec. 1, 2014.
