Morris advances to semifinals

WASHINGTON — Until Saturday, Ottawa and Morris high schools were to lone NIB-12 representatives, but after Saturday that number was reduced to one as the Pirates fell to Crete-Monee 42-6 in the IHSA Class 6A Football Quarterfinals.

The Redskins will have a week to prepare for its Class 5A Semifinal game against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield), which defeated its quarterfinals opponent, Glenwood High School (Chatham) 33-21.
