Vietnam Marine Lyle Headon, left, and Korean War veteran Dale Vogeler enjoyed Monday’s Veterans’ Day breakfast at Rochelle Township High School which included the gift of a book, Joe Bonsall’s “G.I. Joe & Lillie: Remembering a Life of Love and Loyalty,” a powerful story of patriotism, bravery, deep commitment, and unmovable faith presented in memory of Rev. Robert Miller (Korea) whose grandson Jonathan Miller graduates from boot camp next week. Edna Miller made the presentation. On Monday, Eswood School held a Veterans Day Ceremony, pictured at left. The whole school gathered around the flag pole. “The Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful” were sung, along with “Taps” being played to end the ceremony. (Photos submitted)
