ROCHELLE—Locals can join the Zumba dance fitness craze for a cause at the Flagg-Rochelle Park District’s “Zumbathon,” charity event at Teen Town this Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. All of proceeds will be donated to the Three Angels Children’s Relief Organization, which supports Haitian orphans.

Over the past few years, Zumba has grown to be a rather popular workout, with the promise that customers can “party into shape” by dancing to high-energy, Latin and international beats. The park district offers various Zumba classes and will have local instructors volunteering at the event, as well as ones from Beloit, Loves Park and Rockford.
