LINDENWOOD — Norman L. Jaeger, 80, of Lindenwood, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 in Swedish American Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1932 in Lindenwood, the son of Theodore E. and Esther P. Timm Jaeger. Norm married Donna H. Rundberg on Feb. 7, 1959 in Rockford.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Brink and Jaeger Construction and then for Swensen Spreader for five years before retiring.
He was previously involved with the Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department, Lindenwood School Board, and actively involved with Antique Packard Car Clubs. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lindenwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Theodore and Donald Jaeger.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Lindenwood; four children, Ronna (Brent) Williams of Rochelle, Norna (Todd) Seaworth of Lindenwood, Kenneth (Jennifer) Jaeger of Garden Prairie, and Jeffery Jaeger of Lindenwood; six grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Williams, D.J. Williams, Aaron Jaeger, Nate Jaeger, Joel Detig and Jackie Detig; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Brooklyn Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 14 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood with the Rev. David Yarrington officiating. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Burial will be at the Lindenwood Cemetery.
