ROCHELLE — The Steward varsity boys basketball team extended its record to 7-0 with wins over St. Paul Lutheran School and Cornerstone Christian Academy this week. The Eagles defeated St. Paul 49-31 and triumphed over Cornerstone 55- 28.
Matt Albers, Caleb Gould and Andrew Torres led the Eagles in scoring with James Kerfin, Blake Albers and Kaleb Ackland contributing with outstanding floor play.
The Steward junior varsity team moved to 3-1 with a 35-21 win over Cornerstone. They were defeated by St. Paul 32-25 on Tuesday.
The Eagles have games on tap at Creston on Nov. 13 and at home against Eswood on Nov. 15.
