ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Middle School seventh grade A-Team stayed even with Sycamore going into the fourth quarter, but a full-court press and some costly turnovers were just enough for Sycamore to come out on top Thursday evening, defeating the Royals 37-33.

Garett Glosser led the way with 11 points, one steal, one assist and three rebounds, but nearly every Royal contributed offensively. John Kisner scored six points, Riley Lodico scored five and Mason VanDierendonk scored four points. Noah Griffith contributed with three points and Angel Aguirre and Sam Johnson each had two points.

Defensively, Komla Gati was a force to be reckoned with down low collecting 14 rebounds and one steal. Kisner and Glosser each had one steal and three boards while Johnson and Lodico collected two rebounds and a steal each. Lodico also had two assists.
