Eighth graders improve but struggle against large Sycamore team

SYCAMORE — A large and fast Sycamore team would not be denied on its home court Thursday evening as the Rochelle Middle School eighth grade A-Team fell 50-30.

“Wow, Sycamore was really good,” Rochelle head coach Brian Heinrich said. “We had a horrible start, but I was proud of how we battled the rest of the game.”

Despite the 20-point deficit, the Royals did what they could against Sycamore and its 6’5” center.
