ROCHELLE — Over the past few years, gambling in Illinois has expanded, with the rules first allowing slot machines in riverboats and now in bars and restaurants with liquor licenses. Thousands of establishments in the state are awaiting approval from the Illinois Gaming Board, in hopes of raking in a little more revenue.
On Wednesday, Nov. 7, the State of Illinois approved five “Vegas-style” slot machines at Abraham’s Bar and Grille. These machines have been live since that date and are the first in the City of Rochelle.
