CRESTON — It was a short and efficient meeting on Wednesday night for the Creston Village Board.
The water meter project is now in its second phase, with 21 out of 29 homes completed. The computer software to accommodate the new meters is will be installed sometime next week.
Although progress has been made with the new installations, some residents are refusing to pay for the new meters, as they feel it is either too costly or unnecessary. Other obstacles include some water meters that are mounted in hard-to-reach locations within village homes. In one of the homes, for example, the water meter is mounted behind kitchen cupboards.
