MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ark. — Robert Thomas Walsh, 88, of Mountain View, Ark., passed away at his home on Nov. 4, 2012. He was born in Alexander, on Oct. 10, 1924 to Thomas David and Elizabeth (Fulton) Walsh.
Mr. Walsh was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was a decorated soldier and received numerous medals and honors. Mr. Walsh was also a Printer’s Pressman for 47 years of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Florence(Purvis)Walsh; two sons, William Joseph Walsh and Michael Lee Walsh; four daughters, Dolly Jean Hallenbeck, Joyce Ann Rumple, Linda Lou Lunzer, and Mary Ellen Schuster; one brother, John Walsh; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas David and Elizabeth (Fulton) Walsh and two sisters, Helen Pfeiffer and Mary Smorowski.
A visitation will take place Friday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Ark. A graveside service will take place following the visitation at Kelly Ford Cemetery in St. James, Ark., beginning at 2 p.m. Brother Roger Beck will be officiating.
