Saleh gets 40 years

OREGON — An Orland Park man received a sentence of 40 years in the Department of Corrections Wednesday after being found guilty last month by an Ogle County jury of attempted first degree murder in connection with a stabbing which took place three years ago in Rochelle.

Jamil Saleh, 42, was also found guilty of three counts of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery and one count of armed violence.

The domestic altercation involved Saleh’s former wife, Maha Bergeron, of Rochelle.
