Wilkinson leading Prairie Stars going into mid-season break

SPRINGFIELD— Whether he is competing in local tournaments in the summer or competing collegiately during the school year, Rochelle Township High School graduate Andy Wilkinson has been making a name for himself on the golf course.

Now in his senior year on the golf team at University of Illinois at Springfield, Wilkinson finished the fall portion of the 2012-13 season as the number one man on the varsity golf team. He ended on a high note tied for 16th out of 95 golfers at a very competitive Midwest Region Tournament held at Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka, Mo.
