ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Middle School seventh graders lost a pair of games at home against DeKalb-Huntley Thursday evening, but Rochelle head coach Chad Stewart said his team showed many improvements in their second game of the season.
The first quarter of the A-team game was a stalemate with both teams scoring 10 points. DeKalb-Huntley came out in the second quarter and out scored Rochelle 13-2, however, to go into halftime with a 23-12 lead.
Rochelle out scored its opponents in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough to reel DeKalb-Huntley back in as the Royals fell 29-26.
