Lincoln Manor tenants, such as Linda Silva, look forward to the Halloween treat event. “I enjoy Halloween and all the kids that visit us. I have 20 grandkids and 19 great-grandchildren, so I enjoy having these kids visit for Halloween.” At right, children, such as Xavier Delossantos, walked down the lines and received treats and compliments from seniors at Lincoln Manor Wednesday. ROCHELLE—Throughout the Halloween day hours from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., many different children in the costume forms of TV and movie characters, creatures and animals, visited and received Halloween candy from 32 Lincoln Manor residents at an indoor trick-or-treat event.

The event, which started out with the residents’ grandchildren and friends as guests, grew bigger over the years and now averages approximately 200 visitors, according to director, Tyanne Unger. The tenants, who were entertained by the children and array of costumes, handed out classic candy treats of all varieties, as well as healthy snacks.
