Boosters getting ready for a ‘hauntingly’ good time

CRESTON — The Creston Opera House, once full of life with village parties, dances and meetings, now stands with chipping paint and is surrounded by overgrown foliage. The Creston Booster Club, along with one villager in particular, Deanna Forrest, is adamant to see that the house be turned from its current state, to its former beautiful structure in the many years prior.

The opera house, located in downtown Creston near the Union Pacific train tracks, is starting to show signs of improvement as Creston Booster Club members took it under their wing and started the remodeling process, from the ground up. The basement of the building is now updated, complete with a kitchen, bathrooms and mess hall area.
