ROCHELLE — Being diagnosed with diabetes is scary for an adult. Imagine being a 4-year-old and receiving a medical diagnosis that will affect you for the rest of your life.

For now 5-year-old Jayden Nantz, Type 1 diabetes has become a part of her everyday life. Just days after her fourth birthday, Nantz was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease on Sept. 19, 2011.
