Lady Hubs tennis battles in close 3-2 loss

HONONEGAH — On Monday, the Lady Hubs tennis team picked up four victories, but it wasn’t enough to defeat Hononegah High School, which beat Rochelle 3-2.

Ashley Rasmussen and Haley Griffith picked up another win at the number two doubles slot, defeating Hailey True and Ashley Comford of Hononegah 6-0, 6-2, (10-7)

Alexis Monroy and Whitney Steichen, Rochelle’s number three doubles team, also picked up a victor, defeating Jacquelyn Kim and Ashleigh Balsley 6-3, 6-0.
